Service Description

This weekend is very hands on, perfect for those wanting to become smallholders, are new to smallholding, or those that just want a different, active weekend learning new skills. You will experience a selection of smallholding tasks over the weekend, whether it be fencing, tending to the vegetable patch, mucking out, medicating livestock or collecting the eggs, the experiences are vast. You'll see our set up, meet the residents at Happy Valley, and are encouraged to ask as many questions as you like about all things smallholding! There is no classroom type content with the big weekender, it's all about experiencing the day to day tasks of the smallholder. This weekend is for two adults whom book together, and is a private experience for you both. You have the option to stay overnight in our camping field on the Saturday night if you choose. If there is any task or subject in particular you would like to cover, just let us know. Your first day will start on Saturday at 10am and finish at 5pm. Your second day starts at 8.30am if you fancy joining us for the morning feeding routine. If you'd prefer a more leisurely approach, just let us know and we'll see you at 10am, again finishing at 5pm. Please bring packed lunches and any other camping equipment/food (including your tent!) with you. Please bare in mind you may be sharing your camping field and communal areas with other guests during your visit, but the experience with us on the smallholding will remain private.
